REDONDO BEACH, CA — Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins and Steve Miller Band are headlining BeachLife Festival in May, festival organizers announced Monday.

The event celebrates Southern California beach culture and happens on the waterfront in Redondo Beach from May 13 to 15 at 137 N. Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach.

Performances from Sheryl Crow, 311, Vance Joy, Black Pumas, Stone Temple Pilots, Lord Huron and more are scheduled on four stages during the three-day event. The weekend also features culinary experiences from top chefs in the region with a side stage experience that offers fine dining. Jim Lindberg from Pennywise will also curate the one-of-a-kind SpeakEasy Stage.

"The Jack Daniel’s SpeakEasy Stage was such a huge success that of course we have to bring it back this year," Lindberg said in a statement.

Expect to see some incredible performances, acoustic sets and a popup art gallery, he added.

"This time out we have our good friend the legendary Art Alexakis of Everclear, prolific punk rock singer/songwriter Joey Cape of Lagwagon, Yotam Ben Horin of Useless ID, Dan Kelly from Fortunate Youth and Moi Juarez from Tomorrows Bad Seeds, among many more," Lindberg said.

In addition to the curated dining experience from top chefs, BeachLife will offer various food and beverage options, including a craft beer bar with local LA breweries and multiple bars, lounges, food vendors and food trucks.

The festival also supports organizations in Southern California’s South Bay community and beyond, specifically the preservation of beaches and oceans.

With the help of the LA Kings and a number of national and local nonprofit organizations, BeachLife will arrange events and onsite activations to drive awareness and raise much-needed funding for these important causes, organizers said.

Philanthropic partners include Surfrider, Heal The Bay, Walk With Sally, Life Rolls On, Wyland Foundation, Redondo Beach Education Foundation, Redondo Beach Police Foundation and the Rob Machado Foundation.
