2 Suspects Caught With Guns, Drugs During SMC Traffic Stop: Police

Deputies allege they found a loaded gun with an extended magazine and an un-serialized firearm.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Two men were arrested this week in San Mateo County on suspicion of being in possession of firearms and narcotics, the sheriff's office said.

On Thursday, deputies made a vehicle stop in the 900 block of Fifteenth Avenue. Deputies said they recognized Kevin Escobarmora from "previous encounters" and were aware that he had a bench warrant for allegedly fleeing a traffic stop on June. 9. Escobarmora was taken into custody.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies allege they found a loaded firearm with an extended magazine. Another person in the vehicle, Nathan Jaime, was also arrested, and deputies allege they found an un-serialized firearm with an extended magazine under his seat.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office also alleged that narcotics were discovered in the vehicle and in Jaime's possession.

Both men were booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of weapons and narcotics offenses.
