Headed to the Alameda County Fair This Week, Rockridge?

After indulging in a wide range of sinful fair food, checking out the darling animals and taking a spin (or a bunch of spins) on the rides, don’t forget to check out everything else the Alameda County Fair has to offer this season. Fairgoers will not be disappointed.

Coming up this week at the fair:

• Tuesday: $2 admission, Military appreciation discount day and an Eagles Tribute band performs at 8 p.m.
• Wednesday: “Feed the Need” annual food drive, $1 rides and the Beach Boys.
• Thursday: Free admission for seniors, horse racing, hippity hop races
• Friday: Kids Free Friday, $10,000 putting contest, Monster Trucks and Tower of Power
• Saturday: Cell phone photo contest, horse racing, Con Funk Shun
• Sunday: Monster Trucks, hippity hop races, $10,000 putting contest and Tanya Tucker

Fair officials remind visitors to stay hydrated.
