7 Marin County Zip Codes Among 100 Most Expensive In U.S.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — California real estate is expensive. In fact, 91 of the 100 most expensive zip codes in the U.S. are in the Golden State, according to a new report by PropertyShark.

Los Angeles County claimed the highest number of priciest zip codes with 21, according to the study, but San Francisco took the title of the most expensive city with 13 of the country's priciest zip codes.

The Bay Area is the most expensive metropolitan area. The region is home to 55 of the country's most expensive zip codes, and seven of those zip codes are in Marin County.

Ross' 94957 is the 10th priciest zip code in the nation, according to PropertyShark. It's the most expensive zip code in Marin with a 2019 median home sale price of $3.35 million. Zip codes in Stinson Beach, Belvedere and Tiburon, Larkspur, Greenbrae, Bolinas and Mill Valley also landed on the list.

• 94939 in Larkspur ranked 49th with a 2019 median sale price of $1.85 million
• 94904 in Greenbrae ranked 50th with a 2019 median sale price of $1.83 million
• 94924 in Bolinas ranked 59th with a 2019 median sale price of $1.745 million
• 94941 in Mill Valley ranked 96th with a 2019 median sale price of $1.443 million
