Blue Oyster Cult, Patti LaBelle Among Marin County Fair Headliners

The Marin County Fair returns at the end of June and will keep the party going for five consecutive nights.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Tickets for the Marin County Fair go on sale next week, and the organizers of the summer event have unveiled the lineup of musical acts participating this year. The county released its performing schedule for each night of the five-day fair, save for one, which will be announced soon.

Leading off the fun will be Blue Öyster Cult, rocking hits like "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Burnin' For You." Patti LaBelle, the award-winning singer behind countless R&B and soul hits, will take a weekend spot, and Melissa Etheridge will round out the lineup.

Blue Öyster Cult

  • Friday, June 30, 7:30 p.m.
    • Since 1972, Blue Öyster Cult has been traveling the world bringing their unique take on rock music with them. Their biggest hits with “(Don't Fear) The Reaper” and “Burnin’ For You,” both quintessential rock songs remain popular to this day.

Patti LaBelle

Stephen Marley

  • Monday, July 3, 7:30 p.m.
    • Stephen Marley is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer. From his solo works to family collaborations and production credits, his music has earned him eight Grammy Awards. He is the second eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley and Rita Marley, raised in Kingston, Jamaica. He started singing professionally at 7 years old with his elder siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella in The Melody Makers.

Melissa Etheridge

  • Tuesday, July 4, 7:30 p.m.
    • Melissa Etheridge is one of rock music’s great female icons. Her 1988 critically acclaimed eponymous debut album was certified double platinum. Etheridge’s popularity built around such memorable songs as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy” for which she won her first Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with the album, Yes I Am, featuring the hits “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” a searing song of longing that brought her a second Grammy. Etheridge is also an Oscar winner for Best Original Song in 2007.

Early bird fair tickets go on sale Monday, May 15, and must be purchased in advance for specific days, due to capacity limits. Active-duty military members and children under 4 can attend for free.

  • Purchase from June 30-July 3: ALL TICKETS $25
  • If you plan to attend the fair on July 4: ALL TICKETS $25
