Cat stolen in Berkeley and dumped in San Rafael

We need your help! Pet kitty Nino was stolen from his home in Berkeley and dumped in Baywood Terrace on Dec. 19th.

Please help us find Nino, the Berkeley cat who was trapped near his home by a neighbor on Dec. 19th, then driven to San Rafael and dumped in the Baywood Terrace area. (She admitted doing this after she saw the missing cat flyers that Nino's people had posted. Apparently she was trying to trap a feral cat but got Nino instead.) The owners are devastated and heartbroken. They’ve searched the Baywood Terrace area many times, and will continue to do so, but so far no sign of him.

Nearby neighbors are our only hope for finding him. We like to think he was able to find shelter from the rains at a nearby home. You might see a glimpse of a gray cat, or hear meowing. Please take a flashlight and search any place he might be sheltering - under porches, in sheds, etc.

  • All gray with greenish eyes
  • Microchipped, but was not wearing a collar
  • Friendly but shy with strangers
  • Neutered
