Designing the Bee-Friendly Garden

Let Kate Frey show you how to create a bee-friendly garden.

In celebration of Native Plant Week and this year’s theme Plants for Pollinators, the Marin Chapter of the California Native Plant Society is sponsoring and supporting a number of events to show how to make our gardens and hillsides places where pollinators love to live.

Kate Frey an international garden designer, consultant, author and educator will discuss how to design a bee friendly garden. In the book The Bee-Friendly Garden, bee expert and Professor Gretchen LeBuhn, and Kate Frey describe what you need to know to create a stunningly beautiful, vibrant, safe, healthy garden that helps both the threatened honeybee and our native bees.

Join us for a free presentation as Kate introduces us to some of our common bee groups, and shows colorful examples of gardens that foster pollinators. Afterward, Kate will sign copies of her book, which can be purchased at the talk for $20 (payment in cash and checks only).
