SAN RAFAEL, CA — A convicted felon from San Rafael was arrested in Southern Marin this week after a deputy discovered outstanding warrants, drugs and a loaded gun during a routine traffic stop, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said the deputy pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation while patrolling the area Monday. The deputy said the driver initially gave a false name but was soon identified as Joshua Hall. According to the sheriff's office, Hall had an active no-bail warrant for driving without a license in Marin County and a Sonoma County warrant for probation violations.

Investigators said a search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of marijuana, cash and a scale, along with an unserialized 9mm handgun with a loaded large-capacity magazine.
