Riccardo Gaudino, is the History Director for the Nappa Story Birthday. He will present the statue of Twinkle, the Dog Hero of Nappa at Alston Park in March. The plan is for the first sculpture.

It will be created in wood at Alston Park. This communitywide dedication will kickoff the double birthday of Nappa’s founding in 1847, and its incorporation with German Louis Bruck, from the Vallejo clan, serving as the first mayor.

Gaudino is no stranger to create and grow local cultural identities. As the first student to graduate at Vintage High, he planted golden poppies in the Napa Valley freeway. It started the State
Wildflower program.

The following fifty years credits a director of innovations and achievements – writing as a research scholar, Santa visits, winery gutterball classic, boosting local traditions like July 4th Parade, and teaching history at schools.

“Everybody loves their dog! I hope Twinkle's fame will change the reality of today’s disaster with Napa people being ignorant and apathetic. This Double Birthday will reach out to families and neighborhoods all across Napa County.”

We Love Napa Valley Est 1992 is serving as the local charity sponsor. Gaudino explains that three years of preparation have been invested for this “Smart Community” presentation to not be boring. He looks to add the positive spark for champion community service organizations and business to advance participation and leadership.
