Growing Marin’s talent, training, and jobs

Community Action Marin gives job seekers a step up on employment

A Road to Self-Sufficiency is a 6-month program designed to help participants to secure employment, helping them to overcome barriers along the way. The program focuses on an individual’s strengths and supports them through employment, as well as financial and wellness coaching, and is funded by the California Employment Development Department.

The Workforce Accelerator 10.0 program carries forward Community Action Marin’s mandate to eliminate the causes and consequences of poverty in the county. The project will be integrated with the rest of our services and programs to better steward the holistic well-being and socioeconomic mobility of all Marin residents. Each participant in the program will receive customized services to support their education and training and employment goals, as well as overall well-being.

Participants in the program must meet the following requirements:

  • 18+ living in Marin
  • Ready and motivated to work
  • Citizen or non-citizen authorized to work in the U.S.

Participants must identify with at least one of these categories: English language learners, immigrants, justice-involved individuals, people with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness or precariously housed, veterans, out-of-school youth, and those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
