SAN RAFAEL, CA — The Marin County Fair will return this summer, and organizers have announced a "Make a Splash!" theme to celebrate all things water from July 3 -7.

"From the splash of the ocean waves to water conservation during drought times, to sea level rise and local marine life, water is especially relevant and important in Marin County," officials said Wednesday. "The 2024 Marin County Fair will pay homage, educate, and entertain our community with water-related partnerships and water-themed competitive exhibits categories.

Returning in 2024 will be a slate of community favorites, including juried art and photography exhibits, carnival rides, sheepdog trials, a petting zoo, nightly fireworks and concerts. Partner organizations will help illuminate how water plays a vital role in the local environment, from the drinking water on Mount Tamalpais to the Novato Creek Watershed and rising coastal waters.
