Marin County Fair Unveils New Music Headliner

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The Marin County Fair will have a new headliner this year after singer-songwriter Brandy Clark had to drop out over a scheduling conflict.

In her place, synth-pop act Daya will take over for the July 5 PRIDE Day celebration, rounding out this year's lineup of live music acts that include Ziggy Marley, En Vogue and the Los Lonely Boys. Daya won a Grammy before 20 and charted a double-platinum hit with "Hide Away" — a song written while she was still in high school.

Discounted tickets are still on sale for the fair, which runs from July 3 - 7, and select day tickets purchased by May 31 are just $15.

There is still a month left to enter the fair's competitive exhibits, which will showcase artists photographers, and craftspeople. This year's categories include driftwood designs, surfboards, and mini sailboats.

Revelers will get to enjoy a slate of community favorites, including juried art and photography exhibits, carnival rides, sheepdog trials, a petting zoo, nightly fireworks and concerts. Partner organizations will help illuminate how water plays a vital role in the local environment, from the drinking water on Mount Tamalpais to the Novato Creek Watershed and rising coastal waters.
