SAN RAFAEL, CA — Unannounced compliance checks of a few dozen DUI offenders this week in Marin County found four violations and led to one arrest, according to officials.

On Monday, the Marin County Probation Department worked with the California Highway Patrol to conduct checks on probationers with convictions for driving under the influence. Five teams searched the homes of more than two dozen offenders, checking their belongings for drugs and alcohol, performing breathalyzer tests and verifying interlock devices on vehicles, the county said.

Of the four violations recorded, officials said one offender was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail. The other three offenders were each taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, then transferred to the Helen Vine Recovery Center for further treatment.
