MARIN COUNTY, CA — A Marin County program is offering free energy and water saving devices to residents until July 26. The program, Rising Sun Center for Opportunity Green House Call, is open to homeowners and renters in single-family homes, duplexes, and fourplexes.

Each Green House Call can receive a home energy and water efficiency assessment and a kit providing energy energy-efficient light bulbs, draft-stopping outlet gaskets, efficient-flow faucet aerators and a shower head, and a smart power strip or multiple smart energy plus.

The program is being staffed by local high school and college-aged youth over their summer breaks, according to a Friday press release from Marin County. Bay Area Regional Energy Network and Marin County Community Development Agency Sustainability Team are collaborating on the project.
