Marin Sets New Heat Record: NWS
The mercury topped out at 110 degrees in a Marin municipality Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin recorded its all-time hottest official temperature reading Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
The temperature in the town of Kentfield hit 110 degrees Tuesday, eclipsing Marin’s previous all-time high of 108 degrees (in 2020 and 2017).
Kentfield was among three Bay Area municipalities that tied or set records Tuesday after 11 Bay Area municipalities did so the previous day.

Gilroy temperatures topped out at 112 degrees Tuesday, matching a record set in 2020 and 2017, the NWS said.
Santa Rosa hit 112 degrees Tuesday, setting a new record. The North Bay city’s previous all-time high was 110 degrees (in 2020, 2017 and 1971).

The NWS records official temperatures at 14 locations. The city of Antioch recorded an unofficial reading of 117 degrees on Monday, the NWS said.
