Marin's Property Tax Deadline Is Next Week

Residents have a few more days to submit payments for the first installment of property taxes. Here's what to know.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The deadline is fast approaching for Marin County home and business owners to pay the first installment of their 2023-24 property taxes, and there are a few options to make the process as simple as possible.

Unpaid bills will become delinquent and subject to additional fines after 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023.

Property owners can make payments online, by phone, or by mail with no added service fee. Information on tax exemptions is also available online, with eligibility and deadlines varying by district. The State Controller's Office will accept Property Tax Postponement applications until Feb. 12, 2024.

Residents with questions about billing can give the Tax Collector's Office a call at 415-473-6133, and questions about assessed values can be directed to the County Assessor at 415-473-7215.
