MARIN COUNTY, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash over the weekend in Marin County, authorities said.

The solo-crash was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Tomales Petaluma Road, east of Twin Bridge Road in the Tomales area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Tomales Petaluma Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and veered off the road, according to the CHP. He collided with a fence and utility pole.

The man suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP. His identify was not released.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call the Santa Rosa CHP office at 707-806-5600.
