SAN RAFAEL, CA — Drivers with late-night trips planned on U.S. 101 and State Route 37 should plan for some roadwork around San Rafael and Novato. Caltrans is scheduled to complete more storm-related pothole repairs and repaving work on both roadways on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night.

On Highway 101, the project will entail northbound and southbound lane closures between the Sir Francis Drake off-ramp and Francisco Boulevard off-ramp in San Rafael between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. At some points, up to three lanes may be closed.

Restriping work on State Route 37 will see lane westbound and eastbound lane closures during the same timeframe.

More striping work on US 101 will add northbound lane closures near the Rowland Boulevard off-ramp and southbound lane closures near De Long Avenue in Novato between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

All work is weather-dependant, and Caltrans encourages drivers to allow extra time for their trips and drive with caution around work zones.
