San Rafael District Taps Michael Stachon To Lead Davidson

SAN RAFAEL, CA — San Rafael City Schools Board has tapped veteran educator Michael Stachon for a key administrative role.

The board has appointed Stachon to be principal of Davidson Middle School.

Stachon has served as principal of San Francisco’s Roosevelt Middle School for the past six years.

His 22 years of experience as an educator including serving diverse communities.

He began his career as a classroom teacher, first in San Jose Unified School District and then in Mill Valley School District.

Stachon earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Organization from the University of San Francisco.

He recently participated in Stanford University’s Principal Fellows Program.

“With public education experience in communities from downtown San Jose to Mill Valley, I can’t wait to take all I have learned over the past 20 years to lead the Davidson Middle School community,” Stachon said in a statement.

“Together we will make Davidson a fun and engaging place to learn, work and grow for all members of the San Rafael community as we prepare our students for high school and the world ahead.”
