San Rafael Firm Acquired By Competitor

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A Marin financial services firm has been acquired by a competitor.

San Rafael-based Optima Financial & Insurance Services was acquired by Simplicity Group, a national firm based in New Jersey, the companies announced jointly in a news release earlier this month.

Optima President Jon Salomon and Vice President Greg Olson will continue to have a role in the company.

Both were named partners in the new company and will continue their roles leading the San Rafael office.

"Greg and I are thrilled to become part of Simplicity Group and join such an exemplary team of partners," Salomon said in a statement.

"We are excited to offer the new resources that come with a Simplicity partnership, and we know our agents and advisors, together with the clients they serve, will be excited for future growth."
