SAN RAFAEL, CA — Great teachers matter. In San Rafael, we’re fortunate to have teachers like Rachel Dabaere.

Teacher at Venetia Valley. She has been 3 of my kids 2nd grade teacher.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Because she goes above and beyond with kids even after they move on to other grades.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She is the absolute best, she encourages her students to do their best and she does happy calls at the end of the day for the kids that practice kindness in her class, when the student already have 5 happy calls she takes the group with 5 happy calls for ice cream. This encourages students to do their best and be kind.
