'Tin Woman' - Ross Valley Players Stage Powerful Play

The production opens this week with a Thursday "Pay What You Will" performance.

ROSS, CA – Ross Valley Players, celebrating its 88th year, is staging its latest production, "The Tin Woman," a true story-based play that uses humor and pathos to explore loss, family and what it means to be given a new life.

"Instead of relishing life after her heart transplant, Joy enters a downward spiral, unsure of whether she truly deserves a second chance," according to producers. "Meanwhile, Alice and Hank mourn the loss of their son, Jack, whose heart was used to save Joy. At a friend’s urging, Joy tracks down Jack’s family to find closure. But are Alice, Hank, and their daughter Sammy ready to accept Jack’s death?"

Performances run May 17 through June 10, with shows on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and 2 p.m. on Sundays at the Barn Theatre, 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Ross.
