'She Believes Giving To Others Helps To Make Her World Spin Better'

Nipomo, California β€” Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

How do you know the star local student?

She participates in community service activities with me.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

She {gives] of herself for others, specifically Veterans, animal shelters, and battered women. She served Veterans meals, ate with them listened to their stories, and cleaned graves of those that had served in the armed forces. She collected items for hygiene bags, made toys for animal shelter animals, collected items for Salvation Army giving trees, and proofread entry books for the exhibit's departments for three fairs.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She is resilient, she has rebuilt her life to be who she is today. She believes giving to others helps to make her world spin better and their world spin better.
