DUI Checkpoint Planned In Santa Cruz

This week's checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz Police Department announced it will be holding a checkpoint this week amid a national campaign to intensify police efforts against driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Police said officers will be conducting the DUI checkpoint at 10 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday on the Ocean Street corridor within the city.

Santa Cruz police will also send more officers on patrol from Tuesday through Labor Day on Sept. 4 to look out for DUI drivers as part of the national enforcement campaign, Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over.
