SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — A portion of Soquel Demonstration State Forest in Santa Cruz County is closed to public use due to a fuel reduction project, Cal Fire officials said Thursday.

Segments of the Flow Trail are closed through early November as crews will chop down some trees near the trail to reduce buildup of potential fire fuels and dead and dying trees, Cal Fire officials said in a news release.

Visitors are advised to use alternate routes along Tractor Road and other designated detours, and be aware of "Closed Trail" signs.
