Santa Cruz Deputies' Good Deed Helps An Elderly Woman In Need

Two Santa Cruz County deputies stepped up when they found an elderly woman in need of a little help in Boulder Creek.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA - It was simple thinking for two Santa Cruz County deputies when they came across an elderly woman in Boulder Creek that wanted to get to Santa Cruz, but had no money.

If the woman was going to get to the Boardwalk for a concert show she wanted to see, they were going to have to help out.

Simple as that.

The Sheriff's Department says the two deputies encountered the woman recently during a welfare check at Scopazzi’s in Boulder Creek.

So when Deputy Spark offered to take her to the correct local bus stop, and to catch the bus in time, officials say she was delighted.

Deputy Roberts helped the elderly woman onto the bus safely.

One of the two deputies paid for her bus fare.

According to information provided, the elderly woman was so pleased with the deputies' service she made both deputies promise to inform their parents that they had done a great job in raising them.
