Unprovoked Triple Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Santa Monica: Police

One person was arrested after stabbing three people in Downtown Santa Monica Sunday, police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A man who stabbed three people in an unprovoked attack in Downtown Santa Monica Sunday night has been arrested, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

Police responded to the parking structure at 4th Street and Broadway at around 8 p.m. and found three victims who had been attacked by the suspect, police said.

On the scene, officers began CPR on the first victim while other officers located the suspect, who was detained and arrested shortly after, police said.

Two victims suffered stab wounds; one remained in critical condition Monday afternoon, police said.

A third victim was assaulted with no major injuries, police said.

The suspect, Larry Ameyal Cedeno, 29, is on probation for larceny. He was in custody in the Santa Monica Jail Monday afternoon pending arraignment and the official filing of charges, police said.
