24/7 Pet Emergency Room Opens First LA Hospital In Santa Monica

The Santa Monica pet hospital​ will provide round-the-clock emergency care including surgeries, ultrasounds and x-rays.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The Veterinary Emergency Group, a New York-based 24-hour pet hospital, opened its doors to its very first Los Angeles County location in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

The Santa Monica pet hospital is located at 2700 Wilshire Blvd. and will provide round-the-clock high-level emergency care in veterinary medicine including surgeries, ultrasounds, x-rays and more.

The VEG said it prides itself on revolutionizing veterinary emergency medicine with a completely new experience that was reworked to emphasize the needs of people and their pets. When pet owners call VEG, they will be able to immediately speak with a licensed veterinarian to answer any questions with no wait times.

The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with no wait times, even on holidays, officials said. VEG officials said liscenced professionals are prepared to treat any type of animal that comes through the door, including exotic and avian patients.

"Triage begins as soon as they walk in the door, even before filling out paperwork. Pet parents are allowed to stay with their pet through all stages of treatment, including surgery and overnight hospitalization," VEG said.
