Lightning Storm Santa Monica Beaches

Beaches all along the Los Angeles coastline are closed due to the danger posed by a fast moving lightning storm.

Beaches from Malibu to Palos Verdes have been closed because of danger posed by a fast moving lightning storm, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

LA County beaches and piers remain closed to swimmers and visitors due to the lightning danger.

The closures will remain in effect until the storm passes.
