McCall’s Meat & Fish Co. Offers Grilling Options For Memorial Day

SANTA MONICA, CA — McCall’s Meat & Fish Co. has plenty of options for your Memorial Day weekend grilling.

The eastside neighborhood staple opened in Los Feliz more than a decade ago and expanded to the Westside in January 2022 at 1426 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica.

The small, gourmet market is a butcher shop featuring sustainable meat & seafood, fresh breads, produce, and pantry items perfect for cooking, picnics and more.

The 1,450-square-foot space is curated and sourced by McCall’s VP of Operations, Olin Schneider, and managed by Audrey Grewe. Schneider sources select meats from Newport Meats, Rocker Bros, Luxe Seafood, and others. They also carry farmers’ market produce, pastries, specialty cheeses & retail accompaniments. The shop also offers delicious sandwiches that you can grab on the go.

McCall’s employees are knowledgeable about how to help prepare for a special occasion or cook items as well.

The company has also chosen to work with Mercato, a company that supports local grocers over big box stores, to deliver their product servicing over 100 zip codes in the LA area.

Standards

The company also has different standards regarding its meat. Instead of third-party shoppers, every order is handpicked directly from McCall’s and packed to our standards. The customers will choose from McCall’s generous selection of products both in their retail section and meat and fish case.

Menu Favorites

Some noteworthy menu favorites included the sushi-grade & farmed Scottish salmon. Another staple is the veal from Marcho Farms or the Lamb sourced from Superior Farms & Cascade Creek. McCall’s also carries Domenico’s (Los Angeles, CA) for Marcona Almond Pesto, Olive Tapenade, Sweet & Spicy Stuffed Peppers, Fresh Pastas. Zab’s (Los Angeles, CA) for Zab’s Original Hot Sauce, Zab’s St. Augustine Hot Sauce, Zab’s Hot Honey. Savory Gourmet (Gardena, CA) for Salmon Roe, Black & White Truffle Butter, Alain Milliat juices, Fennel Pollen, Chiquilin Smoked Paprika, Italian Artichokes, and many more.
