Santa Monica In Top 50 Most Expensive Neighborhoods In L.A.

Property Shark gathered data from January 1 to June 30 of this year to compile the list.

SANTA MONICA, CA – According to data collected from Property Shark, five neighborhoods in Santa Monica make the list of Top 50 Most Expensive Neighborhoods in Los Angeles. North of Montana is the seventh most expensive neighborhood in Los Angeles, and based on 43 transactions the median home price for a house in this area was $4.5M million.

Property Shark gathered the data by looking at all residential transactions closed between January 1 and June 3o of this year for single- and two-family homes, excluding package deals. However, it should be noted that Property Shark data on small neighborhoods is now included in statistics for larger areas. For example, Malibu Road and Malibu Beach Colony are taken as a single neighborhood.

Out of the top 10 most expensive neighborhoods, Malibu Colony Beach came in at number one, with an average home price of $15.725 Million. Santa Monica only had one neighborhood in the top 10, but six of the neighborhoods in the top 10 are on or near the beach. Malibu and Beverly Hills combined accounted for 10 of the 20 most expensive neighborhoods on the list.
