SANTA MONICA, CA — For the first time in 11 years, tired but elated LA Marathon runners will touch down in Century City rather than Santa Monica, due to a desire to give more space for runners and sponsoring organizations.

However, many streets, freeways, and freeway ramps near the city will be closed for much of Sunday. Many streets will also be open to local traffic only.
