Event Details
Learn about Yoshimatsu Nakata, Japanese immigrant, samurai descendent, and Jack London’s right-hand man. Aleta George, author of "Ina Coolbrith: The Bittersweet Song of California’s First Poet Laureate," will share stories of Nakata in the South Seas, at the ranch, and aboard London’s last boat, the Roamer. Ms. George is writing a book about how the San Francisco Bay and its diverse maritime culture shaped Jack London.
