SRCAR Breakfast With City Managers Planned For February 2024

TEMECULA, CA — The Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors is hosting its 2024 Breakfast with the City Managers in February at Pechanga Resort Casino, a SRCAR spokesperson announced this week.

The event is designed to educate the public on what is going on in the community, discuss future development plans, and teach realtors in Southwest Riverside County about the benefits of buying property or investing in the area, according to a recent news release.

Registration for the event starts at 7 a.m. on Feb. 22, and presentations begin at 8:30 a.m. at 45000 Pechanga Resort Casino. SRCAR members can register in advance for $35, and non-members will be asked to pay $55 to attend.

City managers from Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula and Wildomar will be on hand for the event, each delivering a 20-minute presentation and moderating a brief question and answer session afterward, as they have done since 2010.

"SRCAR created this event to give its members an insight into what was happening in each local city, including housing plans, future development plans, and economic growth opportunities, according to Government Affairs Director Adam Ruiz. The meeting has grown in popularity, Ruiz said, relocating to Pechanga Resort Casino in 2023 to expand the audience to anyone who wants to attend.

"For the first few years, the event was held at the SRCAR office in Murrieta, growing to an audience of 120. As the event gained popularity, we needed to find a larger space to hold the event. We later moved to South Coast Winery to accommodate an audience of up to 300 but remained exclusive to our members. It didn't take long for us to outgrow our venue once again. In 2023, we moved the event to Pechanga and, for the first time, opened up registration to the public. We were delighted to sell out with an audience of 500 attendees!"

"We are sure to sell out again in 2024, so don't wait to get registered," SRCAR advised.

Events during the half-day feature six city manager presentations from Canyon Lake City Manager Nicole Dailey, Lake Elsinore City Manager Jason Simpson, Menifee City Manager Armando G. Villa, Murrieta City Manager Kim Summers, Temecula City Manager Aaron Adams, and Wildomar City Manager Dan York.

Attendees can fill out question cards and direct questions to an individual city manager, multiple city managers, or all city managers.

"We have always heard great feedback from our attendees and the city managers. In fact, the city managers look forward to this event almost as much as the attendees," Ruiz said. "Sponsorships for the event are still available, and with 500 guests expected, it is a great way to gain visibility to a huge audience spanning across Southwest Riverside County.
