These Walnut Creek Startups Ranked Among Fastest-Growing In America

Companies on the list have seen rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressures, rising interest and hiring challenges.

WALNUT CREEK, CA— Four startups with roots in Walnut Creek are among the fastest-growing private companies in America in the 2024 Inc. 5000 list released Tuesday.

The companies on the list have experienced rapid revenue growth in recent years while navigating inflationary pressures, rising interest costs and hiring challenges from 2020 through 2023. The top 500 companies on the list had an average median three-year revenue growth rate of 1,637 percent. Together, the 5,000 companies on the list have added 874,458 jobs over the past three years.

To qualify for the ranking, companies must be U.S.-based and must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2020. Although some of the startups may have gone public or been acquired since the review period ended, the list represents companies that were private, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2023, Inc. said.

The companies must also have had minimum revenues of $100,000 for 2020 and $2 Million for 2023. See the full methodology.

Inc. 5,000 Companies In Walnut Creek

  • Aspen HR, a human resources firm, grew by 469 percent during the three years and ranked 1,088th nationally. Aspen offers a cost-effective, white-glove PEO solution to companies in growth mode, providing HR compliance, HR technology, employee benefits and payroll administration. It was founded in 2017 and has 50-200 employees.
  • Hillendale Home Care, a health services company, grew by 209 percent during the three years and ranked 2,489th nationally. The company was founded in 2007 and is a home care organization with highly trained caregivers assisting older adults to live safely and independently at home for decades
  • Network Optix, a software company, grew by 141 percent during the three years and ranked 3,439th nationally. Founded in 2010, the Network Optix helps clients build intelligent video services and solutions rapidly, with a full-stack video platform and ecosystem. In 2016, Inc. ranked it the 135th fastest-growing company in the nation.
  • Look Left Marketing, an advertising and marketing firm, grew by 82 percent during the three years and ranked 4,750th nationally. The company was founded in 2016 and provides public relations and digital content marketing — specializing in infrastructure technology and promoting companies with foundational technologies.
