How do you know the star student athlete?

I was her assistant cross country coach.

What sport does the star student athlete play?

Cross Country, Soccer.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Kenzie finished her middle school cross-country career with a high of a first place finish and a low of a badly sprained ankle which prevented her from participating in the last two meets of the season. Kenzie is well-known from other local schools and is always friendly and shows good sportsmanship to other athletes.

Throughout the years (Kenzie started running middle school meets in 3rd grade) Kenzie has won numerous races. This year, she placed 2nd at the Monte Vista meet (9/15) and 1st at Pinto Lake (10/5) against the public schools' final race. At the height of her middle school running career, when she was expected to win the varsity cross country races, Kenzie was unable to run the last two meets due to a sprained ankle from flag football.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Kenzie always has a smile on her face despite her disappointments. She is a good sport and has a positive attitude.

Keep up the great work, Kenzie Culbertson!
