Rainy Weather Likely To Continue Into The Weekend In Watsonville

The rain is expected to stick around and foggy conditions could follow.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Rain arrived in Watsonville Thursday and appears to be sticking around for a couple of days. Although rainfall totals are not predicted to be high, the city is likely to have on and off light rain until Saturday.

The National Weather Service predicts a 50 percent chance of rain into Thursday night with temperatures around 47 degrees.

Fog could roll in Friday morning between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. There is a 70 percent chance of Friday night rain after 11:00 p.m. Winds remain lighter between 6 and 11 miles per hour.

Rain is possible Saturday morning mainly before 11 a.m. before clearing up by the evening. The temperature is predicted to be a high of 60 degrees with winds as high as 23 miles per hour. There is an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the day.

The NWS reminds drivers that driving in wet or foggy conditions is very dangerous. However, if driving can't be avoided, use low-beam headlights during foggy conditions and drive slow.
