BOULDER, CO โ€” A Boulder Sheriff's deputy discovered a woman dead in Boulder Canyon Thursday, officials said.

The Boulder County Communications Center responded to a call about a car in the area around the 33-mile marker of Boulder Canyon just before noon Thursday, officials said. The vehicle reportedly belonged to a 27-year-old Colorado woman who was reported missing in Boulder on Tuesday.

A Sheriff's deputy, in addition to the Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Unit, responded to the call and confirmed that the car belonged to the missing woman, a news release said.

The Boulder County Coroner's office will work to confirm the woman's identity and determine her cause of death. As of Friday, authorities said they did not suspect foul play.
