LAKEWOOD, CO – It's summer lunch time! Jewish Family Service's Lunchbox Express begins their mobile food delivery service May 28 to bring free lunches to underserved children at several Lakewood locations, including several libraries. Check out a book and get a delicious lunch between May 28 through August 2.

In repurposed school buses, enthusiastic volunteers deliver box lunches to feed hungry metro Denver kids when school is out and children don’t have access to free or reduced-fee lunches in their schools.

In 2019, the program will operate five buses and deliver food to 16 sites in the Denver metro area. Lunches will also be distributed at five standalone sites, including at Jewish Family Service.
