Accomplished Mystery Writer Visiting Avon Library

The forum, slated for Thursday, Aug. 15, will celebrate the award-winning author's latest book.

AVON, CT — The local library this week is hosting a renowned crime author for an in-person event celebrating the release of his latest book, "A Farewell to Arfs."

Author Spencer Quinn will be at the library on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. The library is located at 281 Country Club Road, Avon.

Quinn's book is about "Chet" the dog and his human partner Bernie Little, a private investigator, who are on to a new case, and "this time they’re entangled in a web of crime unlike anything they’ve ever seen before," wrote the library.

Spencer Quinn is the pen name of Peter Abrahams, the Edgar-award-winning author of many novels, including the New York Times and USA Today bestselling "Chet and Bernie" mystery series.
