Thanks to generous funding from The Canton Greater Together Community Fund at The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Roaring Brook Nature Center is offering a FREE gardening series this summer.
With a focus on how to bring nature to your home, participants will learn how to manage their own gardens and protect the environment. Each of the programs will start inside the Nature Center with a brief lecture before heading outdoors for a hands-on experience in Roaring Brook's butterfly garden, native plants garden, wetlands, or forests depending on the focus of the day. This series is geared toward adult gardeners, both new and seasoned, who are interested in learning more about how to garden with nature in mind.

Native plants are not just another pretty addition to your garden. Discover the ecological importance of our native plants and how we can recapture native habitats in our own gardens.
