The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Canton Intermediate School on Dyer Avenue, and participants will head south on Dyer Avenue then right at Maple Avenue. From there, the parade will head left on Main Street then right on Center Street. The parade ends with a ceremony at the Village Cemetery on Center Street.

Town officials have asked that drivers be on the lookout for detours, as Dyer Avenue will be closed at Sidmonds Avenue to through traffic at 9:30 a.m., the Hartford Courant reported. Police request that vehicles on Main Street be removed by 9:30 a.m. Monday, and portions of that street, plus Maple Avenue, Bridge Street and Huckleberry Hill Road will be closed at 10 a.m.

Prior to the parade kickoff, residents and vets are welcome to coffee and donuts at the community center, at 40 Dyer Ave., across from the intermediate school.
