Man Dead After Fall From Roof In Clinton: Police

CLINTON, CT — A 37-year-old man died Monday morning after falling from a roof in Clinton, according to local police. The man's identity has not yet been released.

First responders were called to a home on Fox Hill Drive at 8:21 a.m. on a report of a man who sustained serious injuries from a fall, police said in a news release Monday afternoon, noting that the homeowners had hired a roofing company to work at the property.

Medical personnel immediately rendered lifesaving aid to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene and will be conducting their own independent investigation, police said.

"At this time, the case is still actively under investigation," police added in a news release.
