DANBURY, CT — The state Department of Transportation is reporting a crash that is snarling traffic on Interstate 84 Thursday morning. An alert from DOT warned of a two-vehicle accident that occurred on I-84 westbound between Exits 2 and 3. Lane closures are expected. The crash was reported at 7:18 a.m.

As the second largest early childhood education provider in Connecticut, CLC has been a leader in developing and implementing high-quality and affordable early childhood education and care programs since 1902. The nonprofit agency is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has eight locations in Stamford.

Assistant Teachers&nbsp; - Preschool&nbsp;($17.49 - $18.43 Hourly)&nbsp;
<ul><li>Current CDA (Child Development Associate &ndash; Preschool or Infant Toddler Setting), and/or</li><li>12 credits specific to *Early Childhood Education, or</li><li>CT 30 credit *Early Childhood Certificate</li></ul>
Experience in a Head Start or NAEYC Accredited program not required, but preferred.&nbsp; 
Head Teacher - Preschool&nbsp;(&nbsp;$21.85 - $26.81 Hourly) 
<ul><li>Bachelor or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or</li><li>Bachelor or Associate degree including 36 or 30 credits specific to *Early Childhood Education, with</li><li>Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience</li></ul>
*Note: Specific to Early Childhood is defined as coursework inclusive of &ldquo;Birth&rdquo;, &ldquo;Nursery&rdquo;, and/or &ldquo;Pre-K&rdquo;. Coursework excluding Early Childhood, &ldquo;K&rdquo;, &ldquo;Elementary&rdquo;, &ldquo;Secondary&rdquo;, cannot be considered for education requirements. Credentials accepted are Connecticut&rsquo;s Early Childhood Teacher Credential (ECTC), Praxis #113, #112, #065, #001, #002, #003, or #008.
