DANBURY, CT — Chuck's Steak House has temporarily closed as it undergoes renovations by its new owners, the Barbarie family of Barbarie's Grill fame.

The new owners made the announcement Friday on Facebook, promising to "breathe new life into this esteemed establishment and return it to its former glory."

The renovations to the old Chuck's are meant to "enhance its charm and functionality, ensuring that it is a place where memories continue to be made for years to come."

Postings from Chuck's followers on Facebook appear to mostly concur that the eatery could do with a shot in the arm and a small course correction, so long as the beloved salad bar remained untouched.
