Danbury Animal Welfare Society Sets New Fundraising Record At Gala

DAWS surpassed their event goal and raised over $200,000 for the thousands of animals cared for each year.

The Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) Making a Difference Gala, took place on October 21st at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, CT. A new record was set as they surpassed their event goal and raised over $200,000 for the thousands of animals cared for each year! It was a celebration in honor of Tary Tarlton of Kenosia Development and the upcoming grand reopening of their renovated shelter located at 147 Grassy Plain Street in Bethel, CT.

Rich Minor of 98Q was the guest host for the evening as well as auctioneer for over 300 in attendance. Entertainment was provided by The Hat City Duo and The Bill’s Toupee Band. Guests were greeted on the red carpet by adoptable puppies and enjoyed a delicious dinner. A heartfelt mission video debuted highlighting the impact fosters make as well as an inspiring adoption story.
