DANBURY, CT — A bar in Danbury will have its liquor license suspended for three days at the end of the month, according to the state Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission.

According to the notice, the suspension was for violation of Liquor Control Act Section 30-91, which codifies a bar's days and hours of operation. La Canchita Bar & Lounge, at 6 Delay Street in Danbury, has paid a $1,000 fine and will have its liquor license suspended Nov. 29 - Dec. 1, according to state records.

This isn't the first time the business has run afoul of state regulations. In July 2022, the bar's license was suspended for violation of four Title 30 Connecticut General Statutes, including selling to a minor.
