Danbury Emergency Crews Rescue Motorist Trapped In SUV After Crash

Police closed South King St​reet for about 90 minutes, while members of the Danbury Fire Department extricated the driver.

DANBURY, CT — Emergency crews had to extricate a driver trapped inside an SUV following a crash on South King Street Tuesday.

Danbury Emergency Services was notified of the collision with the utility pole at 1:10 p.m.

After hitting the pole, the SUV rolled over, trapping the driver, according to the Danbury Fire Department.

Police closed South King Street for about 90 minutes, while members of the Danbury Fire Department extricated the driver. Danbury EMS took one victim to the hospital with minor injuries.
