Danbury Gears Kids Up for Fashion Week

The week will go through all of the stages of researching, designing, and sewing a garment.

DANBURY, CT -- Danbury Fashion Week will be hosting a kids camp geared towards sustainable fashion design. The camp will be held at The Danbury Library on July 9, 10, 12 and 13 and at The Workspace Collective on July 11 from 10-12:45pm. Children from 7-16 are welcome.

The week will go through all of the stages of researching, designing, and sewing a garment ultimately to be worn by the kids themselves in the Fashion Show on July 28. Each day is designed to touch upon one aspect of the fashion design industry from a sustainable and ethical point of view. Danbury Fashion Week is partnering with Savers Thrift to provide materials and information on textile waste as in the design process.
