Danbury Improves Standing In Boys Basketball Poll

Two state teams improved their position over last week and a new team entered the top 10 in the latest balloting by state media members.

DANBURY, CT — The top two teams remained intact and pair of top 5 teams switched positions in the most recent high school boys basketball poll of state sports media members.

Sacred Heart collected 15 of 20 first-place votes to keep its perch atop the rankings, while East Catholic received the other five top votes to retain second. Notre Dame-West Haven and Bassick flip-flopped spots in the third and fourth positions.

Danbury High School moved up a spot from last week, placing ninth in the most recent balloting.

Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other teams getting votes.
